at the end
he is at earth right(judging by the map on the aircraft)
what happen, has the aps talking over the earth
if it is not at earth, then it is at planet that he just fly out
what the hell happen?
i don't get the end

well, i don't think anyone knows what Tim Burton had in mind for the end. The sad part is, we'll never find out for sure since he's not doing part 2.

I saw it...

In the end, the ship crashes at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial.....The DC skyline is intact...Whitehouse...Washington Monument....the camera pans from the back of the huge Lincoln statue.....and as our hero looks on ...you see it is the face of an ape! Then a bunch of security puuls up and of course they are apes.

Could have been a great movie. Very good effects, but the storyline was so damn predictible it was sad.

The only high point was the slave trader cracking all the jokes.

don't think about it, burton has said that there will be no sequel, so the ending makes no sense because the director is telling you to screw yourself.
