Awesome, great laughs.

Brian: "Pelosi is on crack"
Rush: "Of course she is on crack, but you have to lead people there with an intelligence argument..."

Kind of odd they didn't say anything about the current President. But maybe 10 minutes of 'But Booosh' wouldn't be that funny.

No one thinks that Rush really believes what he says, right? He has found a style that earns him a ton of cash and he has exploited it.

Could you be specific on some things Rush has said that he doesn't believe? (Go ahead, Google some stuff, we'll wait.)

The four wives kinda proves it.

The illegal drug user thing kinda proves it

Shall I keep going??

When has Rush talked bad about people with multiple wives??

He wasn't an 'illegal' drug user, he was addicted to legal prescription drugs. Happens more than you may think, quite a few people question whether the drug he was using should be legal at all since it is so addictive.

Now could you provide something beyond cheap talking points?

My points are free not cheap.

Oxycotin is a schedule 2 controlled substance. It is in the same catagory as cocaine. Obtaining and using without a valid perscription is "illegal drug use". Limbaugh is quoted as saying "illegal drug users should be in jail"

Since he is a frequent espouser of social conservative values the wife thing is obvious.

Actually, I kind of wish you would. If those are the only two points of contradiction you have with Limbaugh (and they are by far the most common) then your argument is pretty weak against him.

Its like saying "Clinton was a bad president because of the Monica Lewinsky scandal." The fact that the scandal happened really doesn't make clinton a bad president. The fact that rush ODed on Oxycodine and has had more than one wife doesn't mean that he disbelieves everything he says.

Since by his own words he should be in jail, the illegal drug use should be enough. However, I'll humor you gave give one more. He praised Strom Thurmond for calling gay soldiers "not normal". If gay people are so abnormal would you really hire one to sing at your 4th wedding??

Why not? I think a lot of artists are a little fruity, that doesn't stop me from admiring their work. That is somewhat of a reach, don't you think?

The Dems talk all the time about the evil rich, yet so many of them fall directly in that category. Does that mean that the dems don't really believe the policies they put forth about taxing the rich etc?

I see. Then you were totally against the Republicans trying to impeach him over this? Show us where you've spoken up against this attempt here even once, and I'll believe you.

The fact that rush ODed on Oxycodine and has had more than one wife doesn't mean that he disbelieves everything he says.

Nobody is saying he disbelieves everything he says, but the fact that he rails constantly for family values and vociferously against drug abusers does indicate that he's a flaming personal hypocrite even as he marries and divorces like trading in cars and slurped up illegally obtained opiates like they were going out of style.

The serial wife discarding while preaching the sanctity of marriage and the illegally obtained opiate use while preaching that all drug users, including marijuana users, should be incarcerated does show that he takes strong public positions that his own personal actions prove he doesn't really believe!

You simply can't say otherwise!

Rush the opiate addict on drug users:
"There's nothing good about drug use. We know it. It destroys individuals. It destroys families. Drug use destroys societies. Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. And the laws are good because we know what happens to people in societies and neighborhoods which become consumed by them. And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.
"What this says to me is that too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff. The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we're not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send th

em up the river, too."
-- Rush Limbaugh show, Oct. 5, 1995
Believes what he says? Limbaugh's been married FOUR times, but has no children and hasn't adopted any, either, yet states:

"Marriage is about raising children. That's the purpose of the institution."
Do0d, he LIES about a lot of other things, too!

Here's a straight up lie he promulgated, as caught by that communist house organ (lol) the St. Petersburg Times:

So Limbaugh is seriously distorting the truth, suggesting that people can donate through the White House when in fact the White House site has simply posted links to groups that earn generally positive ratings. There's no evidence the White House is using any of these donations for administrative costs, and the charities aren't sharing donors' e-mail addresses with the White House. Limbaugh is making a ridiculously false claim that the Obama administration is capitalizing on a tragedy. That's enough to set the meter ablaze. Pants on Fire!
Limbaugh just straight up LIED about that.

And, hey do YOU believe this below? Do you believe Rush totally believes this rhetorical bullcrap? He said it about Obama:

But in the Oval Office of the White House none of this is a problem. This is the objective. The objective is unemployment. The objective is more food stamp benefits. The objective is more unemployment benefits. The objective is an expanding welfare state. And the objective is to take the nation’s wealth and return to it to the nation’s quote, “rightful owners.” Think reparations. Think forced reparations here if you want to understand what actually is going on.
Rush Limbaugh lies a lot, homes. You saying he doesn't disbelieve all the outright lies he tells is disrespectful to the man. He's not that stupid . . . unlike some of his followers.

Lets see, I was what, 13 when the whole thing went down. I wasn't even a member of the forums of the time and 3 years later it wasn't really much of an issue (nor was I really involved in P&N at the time.) But somehow my opinion on the matter isn't really what I say it is because I haven't posted previously on the subject.....

Nobody is saying he disbelieves everything he says, but the fact that he rails constantly for family values and vociferously against drug abusers does indicate that he's a flaming personal hypocrite even as he marries and divorces like trading in cars and slurped up illegally obtained opiates like they were going out of style.
Honestly, if you had REALLY listened to him, even just a couple of times, you would realize that drugs and family values aren't subjects that he speaks on very frequently or "vociferously".

The serial wife discarding while preaching the sanctity of marriage and the illegally obtained opiate use while preaching that all drug users, including marijuana users, should be incarcerated does show that he takes strong public positions that his own personal actions prove he doesn't really believe!
Again, he HASN'T taken strong public opinions on these subjects. They certainly aren't the cruxes of his daily rambling either.

And now you are trying to (falsely) ascribe exactly what I believe because I don't completely hate rush.

No one thinks that Rush really believes what he says, right? He has found a style that earns him a ton of cash and he has exploited it.
This is what I was mostly responding to. The two examples given were pretty lame (come on.. there are much better examples, which you have given).

Can you quote where I went backwards on a statement?

Dear lord, he didn't jump on the "I hate rush" bandwagon when someone brought up weak attacks! How Dare He!

I'm pleased when I see examples of cross-political-lines friendships. Another good one is Whoopi Goldberg and Sean Hannity.

It's good that we still treat individuals as individuals, and not as partisans. It means we haven't devolved into true hatred.
