Anyone see Mike Judge's "Idiocracy"?

Ryan

I just watched it - it's a movie about how a Luke Wilson and Maya Roudoulf (sp?) arrive 500 years in the future to find that society has become stupid. It's not real eye-catching plot, but it's a clever attack on consumerism, etc. I won't say anymore for sake of spoiling it, but I definitely think anyone who liked Office Space should give this movie a try. 🙂

Clever idea and possibly a good prediction of the future lol. But overall, it was ok. Doesn't even come close to Office Space though.

Pretty good movie. Was a nice change of beat from most of the other crap that was released in 2006 (excluding Children of Men and V For Vendetta)

I thought it was good, but it's not in the league of Office Space.
Obviously a very different kind of movie, but it's not memorable.

Just watched it last week. I liked it. There were some really funny scenes. They should have cast a hotter female lead, IMHO.

It was ok at best. Apparently the studio (fox) didn't trust Mike Judge with it, so they eventually edited it together themselves, which explains partly why its so choppy, and the narration was added in to explain what the hell is going on. I'm not saying the movie would have been great had they left it alone, but I imagine it would have been better anyways.

This movie was pretty stupid and 100% predictable but I've seen worse. 4/10

They really tried hard with that "Fuddrucker's" stuff, don't ya think?

It's not a favorite. I won't rent it again and certainly won't be purchasing it.

There were lots of small, funny chuckles about poor, uneducated society, but no huge jokes; visual things that aren't necessarily pointed out, but are true to life. If you found it boring, then you, most likely, are the target of the film's ridicule.
