I don't know... I don't think I want to watch a film about gun control.

I like Micheal Moore. I don't always agree with his opinions, but what he says & does makes people emotional enough to actually think about things, which I think is a dying art in this country.

And - as usual - I will wait for the DVD (which shouldn't be too long, in this case).

From the looks of the movie, there seems to be plenty of those idiots on it. :D

I'm going to watch the movie just to find out where exactly in this country you can go to open a bank account and get a free gun!

What's interesting is that Mr. Moore has been a member of the NRA for the past 20 years or so. His critisizm of gun control is based on the last several years of lobbying by the NRA and others. So maybe research a bit before thinking this guy is anti-gun, he's not.

yes, but he completely changed his views because children were shooting each other. He is on the same boat as Nader, attempting to protect us from the dangers of the real world.

I understand. My idea, correct me if I'm wrong, is that Michael Moore is for responsible gun ownership. To simply say he's "anti-gun" is a bit off the mark I believe.

And how the hell does the bullet travel at high speed? hmmmmm..... Does it just magically start flying at high speed?

I don't believe in magic.

:D

The whole (sarcastic) point was that Impacting Bullets actually do the damage . . . and they can be fired by other means. ;)

you are incorrect. Here is a quote from him
...the handguns have to go.
This was lifted off of his letter about Kayla Rowland. Sounds more like a person dictating what is safe for us. Up yours, michael moore.

Please, could you take that a little more out of context?

It probably read:

"I was speaking to a gun dealer holding a sale and he said: The handguns have to go."

Quote from the end of the paragraph you mention...

"Easy access to guns by a species that often responds irrationally and with intense emotions is a lethal combination."

LMAO!

Thanks for pointing that out, I don't know much about this fellow.

I saw a clip from this movie the other day...looks pretty interesting.

I'm on dial-up so I'm not about to view the linked trailer, but the clip I saw was actual footage of Moore going into a bank having a promotion involving free guns...you purchase a Time Certificate (or something) and receive a free gun!. Moore bought a certificate for $1000 and they gave him a rifle! His comment "Don't you think it's a little funny for banks to be handing out guns?"

i did not take it out of contex.t do a search for Flint Again.

I'll end by repeating what I have said many times before -- handguns have to go.
THere is the entire sentence. He then goes on to spew statistics and how the british dont have many shootings at all(he fails to mention that their crime rate is up, oops)

Actually, it's the organ failure caused BY those high speed bullets hitting them that kills people! :D

And, no, I WILL NOT see this movie. I think that Michael Moore is a trouble-making liberal fruitloop. I don't like either his opinions OR the in your face way he chooses to express them.

So, it IS the bullets that kill . . . not the guns :D

I guess I just got tired of hearing "Guns don't kill . . . " ;) I guess . . . unless you use it as a blackjack. So a way around this might be to ban all "ammo" and let people keep their guns.

um, sure . . .

:D
