It got some decent reviews. I don't think single guys can pull of going to it by themselves. ;)

I saw the 5 minute trailer to Blue Crush while going to see xxx (don't blame me, i was dragged along!!). The trailer seemed to give away the ENTIRE plot, so there is completly no reason to see the movie. Unless of course your going for the 2 hours of cleavage...

*shudders at the thought of seeing it*

Okay.

There are good movies (Lord of the Rings).

Then there are crappy movies that are entertaining and fun to watch (Triple X).

Then there are just plain crappy movies (Spy Kids).

Then there are movies like Blue Crush and Swimfan.

WHat's worse than crap? Where do these fit in? Maybe we can just say it was a waste of resources to produce them.

Valuable resources that could've been donated to all ATOT members' wallets of course.

That's where opinions differ. That was by far, the biggest waste of 17.00 I have ever spent. $8.50x2 if you can't figure it out.

And I have wasted money. Trust me.

From the previews I can tell the whole damn plot.

Girl wants to surf big waves

She gets made fun of cuz only guys do it

She insists she can do it and girls can do everything better.....blah blah blah

She fscks up big time hurting herself

After she hurt herself she comes back and does it

Everyone is amazed and she is "down with it".

And If I am wrong, I will be SHOCKED.

NO chance in hell you'd get me to go see that. The girls are not even that hot except for the one blonde.

Thanks for the math lesson.
You are entitled to your own opinion.

I don't expect everyone should love the movie as much as say Kami, or even myself. But to think it's the biggest waste of $17 ever is foolish. Tolkien is one of the greatest writers of all time, the story he tells, and has been loving rendered to motion picture, is one of the finest stories ever.
I hope you aren't one of those freaks that thinks Harry Potter is a work of art and Lord of the Rings is crap. Having no taste is one thing, that atrocity is another all together.

Exactly. I'll also note that the story requires at least some attention from the viewer. Maybe try doing this and watch it again. :p It's got interesting people, fantastic scenery, a score with a bass-line that drives through your spine, heroism and strength and treachery and failure, a little bit of romance, and some very scary bad guys. What more did you actually want?

BTW, Blue Crush actualy has a 63% rating at rotten tomatoes. OMG

I just went last night to see it. Someone stated that it is a good movie to go watch because of cleavage...well it's not even good for that. The girl is hot and all, but not much in the way of cleavage. Besides that, the plot is really shallow, it goes into no character development and does a horrible job of following up on certain situations, such as the whole ordeal with the girl and her sister and her mom and the football player and just about everything. The ending is pretty weak and doesn't really solve anything. It's just a typical teen movie that takes absolutely no thinking at all.

saw it...

IMO if you've seen coyote ugly you've seen blue crush-that covers everything from the way it's marketed to the plot. I happen to like coyote ugly, so this wasnt a terrible waste of money. plus, it had some pretty cool camera work.
