Anyone say "one" when leaving or saying good bye?

Some of my friends have said it and I've heard some rappers say it. Like someone would say "I'm going to go, later." and the next person would say "one"? Anyone know anythin about this?

you mean they just say the word "one" and that's it?

My guess would be that its a shortened version of "have a good one".

although i've never heard someone just say "one"...sounds pretty retarded.
