Its the software that matters. ;)

Totally lets get all this stuff on one platform, The PC, that way EVERYTHING can be done from 1 machine.

<< Consoles are suck. >>

Why are you even in this thread then?

Personally I haven't been impressed with Sega for many years, this was a long time coming.

To assert my opinion that consoles are expensive junk. You could buy a low-end PC for the price of console and a few games.

Anyway, if I MUST be constructive: Sega should stick to what they are good at - making great games, for ALL platforms.

i've been wearing black ever since i first heard....

it really boils down to the fact that there's now one less player in the arena tho... were now left with three corporate giants who long ago stopped caring about games and focused their attentions soley on making their shareholders happy... sega was innovative... and although they will live on in some capacity, for now they are battered and broken, the moral battle has been lost and the legion of sony/nintendo/ms fanboys can gloat over their victory...

Its about time their lack of console support caught up with them.
I hope they do a better job with the software or Sega will go the way of the Atari Jaguar.

I'm actually really quite happy that Sega is getting out of the
hardware business. Sure, I am a PS2 owner, but this decision will
help ensure Sega's future viability as a company and it also
seems to have revitalized the entire company.

In several interviews with Sega personnel that I've read, both
developers and executives alike have clearly expressed relief and
excitement in regards to the company's new direction. I imagine that
many employees at Sega are tired of fighting a losing battle for years
and will be happy to steamroll over some of their competitors on a
level field. I expect great things from Sega in the next couple
years.

I wouldn't have missed Saga at all, but I WILL miss Sega. Have to dust off the old Genesis for nostalgic reasons I guess.
