hmmmm..... very slowly? that sux. Games these days require system requirements that are just too high

of course, I think around here, slow means anything lower than 1000000 billion to the n-th power / FPS, hehe :)

But seriously, will it be playable?

My PII 400 with 256megs RAM and 64meg DDR Radeon 7500 runs WarCraft III rather well at 800x600x32bit color..

It can do 1024x768, but the CPU becomes a limiting factor big time..

I know that it is crappy compared to the standards of most anandtech memebers, however it is nearly my only option. I do not want a voodoo card, I dont want a card from a company that no longer exists. at least with the radeon I will still get support and driver updates, and I sincerly doubt the v5 performs all that much better than the radeon anyway

the last 3dfx driver for 9x/me is actually pretty good. i posted a link to some benchmarks in ur other thread in the video forum. i would stay away from the 7000 and go for a radeon sdr (the one that ppl mentioned was on sale for $30 at compusa last week).

eh, the requirements aren't that high, esp if you play single player. my other pc with a geforce 1 ddr runs it smoothly:p

Well, now that I look at the official requirements, they are actually really, really low..... 400mhz proc, 8mb 3d card... now im wondering why so many people around here think that one needs such a high end machine torun it

becuz a lot of AT'ers like to pump up the resolution and jack up the details :D in which case... more powerful video cars would be necessary.

The radeon 7000 would probably cut it, but pretty much forget about it with the savage 4. Thats practically unplayable.
