Here it is I was looking to get this so I could stick a bigger fan in the box. Anyone know how this thing will work on my baby Barton (2500)? I already looked into motherboard compatibility and I should be okay (Abit AT7 max2). Anyone have any OC results? :D

The SLK800U is better and compatible with both Socket 478 and Socket A. Plus its only $33 at svc.com.

I've got one, and yes, it cools anything , period. I'm running XP 2100 AIUHB at 2275mhz, which is faster thatn a 2500. I run at 39 c. all day under full load.

Thanks guys. I like the design of the Alpha better. No clips, and it's forged. Athlon, thanks for reminding me about SVC, they have a better price and better fan selection. Cheers!

I'd go with an 800U if you don't like clips. I don't either when the heatsink weighs as much as these do.
I swapped out my alpha 8045 with a 900u recently, and there was a significant improvement in cpu temp. (5ºC)
