I recently surfed into another DC project called Fightaidsathome.org where they use DC to find potential drug candidates to fight drugs. If anyone is interested just head over to their website and download their client. Would be great to have Team Anandtech participate and find a cure to aids.

I tired it out a few days ago but gave after the program tried to get work units for day without success and seeing as how all there major news posts are from 2001, I'm starting to think that the project is all but dead
 
2Confused: you have said "after the seti race" ;-) But is the SETI project is going to be over someday? All the current participants are going to die before any ET _intelligence_ (not simply some bacterial life) will be found, in my opinion, of cousre. But the stats there are good. ;-)

As to the Fight AIDs project, I have tried it several months ago. Nothing to say; perhaps it is almost dead. I think time has come to concentrate on something different, Revned. Other DC projects, of course.
 
Actually the way you described the project sounds like grabbing plants in the jungle and plugging them into a computer program and see what you get.

HOWEVER,

TRMS is on the stockmarket this is getting licensed as usual first in Europe.
This drug works befor the celles get infected.
Present drug cocktails only work only after the cell is infected.
This drug in combination kills before cell infection and when added to the cocktail mix of drugs prevents other cells from being infected basicly before and while the other part of the mix works on the damaged cell.
The stock was issued around $45 to raise 120 million dollars and has completed all stages of texting and is in approval waiting process.

Present price is around $48 and has lots of highs and lows but should be steady and rise in the future cause of the high cost of the drug to recouperate costs of manufacturing plants. It has joined in some fashion with Larouche to process and distribute the drug.

I meant the Mini Team Race that we have just started, all my firepower is dedicated to that for the next month. After that i may start to experiment with some other projects on my home rigs 🙂
