I assume you're talking about the gigabyte ds3? It has been known to hit 480-500mhz fsb. It is very picky with RAM however. Can't say on the abit, I don't have either of these boards, but generally abits are middle of the road for ocing.

I had been planning on getting a DS3, but saw the S3 I wouldn't mind saving the extra money if the boards work the same, and have the same high overclocking potential.
