Anyone Running a 1Ghz P3/100 slot one on an Abit Bh6 rev 1.0?

Im thinking of swapping out my old Cel 300a and get a little more mileage out of this Bh6 just wondering what the fastest P3 100 chip is that someone is running with the SS bios?

After upgrading the firmware on my board to the SS BIOS, it looks like it supports an 850MHz cpu. I've heard people have managed to put a PIII 1GHz cpu on their board.

I'll upgrade to the P3-850 as soon as Intel decides to drop the price to under $100. For what a P3-850 is going for right now, I could get a new mobo, spend another $50 or so, and go AMD at over a gig.

I have a P3 750 OCed to 840 (7.5x112) in my BH6 rev1. The SS has a multiplier of 10 user selectable and the 1ghz chip runs @ a voltage of 1.65 like the other CuMines. I cant see why it wont work.

What ram you got? PC-100? you would have to upgrade that in a new Athlon system id think. What about the PowerSupply, you sure it will hold. And finding a good Athlon MB under $100 will be hard.

P3 850 - $135

Athlon 1.2 - $95
CPU fan - $25
New MB - $120
256 pc133 - $60
TOTAL - $300

And possibly a new PS - $40

So it will probally be more than $50 more, but will make for a really nice system!
