Anyone run multiple hardware profiles?

I have a laptop that I generally connect at several different locations. Right now I have several different hardware profiles I choose during bootup to distinguish which place I am at.

The only difference in these profiles are different ip addresses. Is there a better/different way to do this? Maybe even a way to change the profile inside windows rather than manually changing them (or rebooting)? For example, sometimes I want wireless at a certain place but then I need to plug into a docking station. I'd like something that would change it on the fly. Any ideas?

This is on WinXp btw.

Go into the properties of your NIC, then select TCP/IP "obviuosly" go to properties then advanced. Click ADD and away you go! Configure alternate IP's for each location.
