Anyone repaired the On switch on an Antec Nine Hundred Two or similar?

My brand new 902 has a borked On switch, it's basically behaving as if the contacts are EXTREMELY close together, so they're contacting intermittently. I'm going to try some contact cleaner but if that doesn't work I'll have to yank the switch and either repair or replace it. Anyone done this with one of these cases? Is it difficult? Any tips?

Never did it, but easiest way is to probably just get a toggle switch from radioshack and put it in. May not be the nicest looking though...

Can you see how the switch is fixed to the case?

I would contact Antec and ask them to send you a free replacement switch (I'm guessing the case is still under warranty). At worse, you may have to pay Antec for the replacement switch.

Haha no way in hell :p This is the first time I've ever built a machine with looks in mind, the damn thing is beautiful!

To be honest I haven't had a proper look at it yet, as soon as I got the thing running it was back to Dragon Age. I imagine it won't be difficult. Good idea about asking Antec for the replacement part, I'll look into that.

if it's like a typical on switch, it's just "momentary on", 2 contacts making contact when you push the button. shouldn't be too hard to tweak.

i was going to say, "don't electrocute yourself" but i was thinking about AT power supply switches.

Are you sure it's the switch itself and not the pushbutton that activates the switch?

The clips could have gotten jarred in shipping and the plunger is too close to the button. It would be very similar as if someone was depressing the button partially to the point where the snap action of the switch can be activated any time.

The switch itself should be easy to pull out of the retaining piece to check.
