Anyone renting space

I saw my old college roomate this weekend. Him and another friend rent a pretty large space for $750 a month flat. They have desks and some web hosting going. Nothing to make a huge profit. They are still struggling to have the place pay for itself but they enjoy the space and hang out there a lot.

Anyone here doing anything similiar? Having a large space for all spare hardware and your rigs would be cool.

If anyone on long island is interested in doing something like this, let me know. I am trying to find space some where in nassau county on LI (maybe western suffolk too). Let me know.

I rent space for woodworking at NC State.
They offer space for wood, floor space for in-process projects, and shop tools if you do not own your own. I use their planars/joiners and lathes.
Best $84 / semseter I have ever spent.

NCSU Craft Center

For computer stuff, I would look into warehouses and second floor lofts over top of business spaces. If they are unfinished you can ask to pay less rent.

Oh man...... I wish I had a wood working shop like that when I was at Uni 🙁
