I remember mine. :)

Last night I dreamt I had a ruby the size of my fist. :Q

I'd taken it from a temple/ancient site.

I often remember mine. There are places in my dreams that I revisit over and over again. Sometimes even if I remember a dream the day after I had it, I will forget it later. Sort of a delayed forgetting.

I always remember mine. They seem to be like movies and sometimes last all night long even though I'll wake up and go to the bathroom or whatever. It seems like I'm living lives of other people or something since I looked in the mirror in one of my dreams and I was someone totally different than who I am. These are mostly pleasant and most interesting to say the least.

i had a dream where i knew i was in a dream and the world was nothing but a figment of my imagination...

so I went around stole stuff and did whatever I want. People couldn't do anything because I controlled the world around me, I could fly when I wanted to, become invisible as soon as I thought of it.

And at one point I was cornered by a bunch of pissed off people and I said to myself, "wake up!" and I woke up in real life...

Now, that is a kickass dream.

anyone remember their dreams?
i know this sounds retarded, but sometimes i get these dreams before i wake up in which i KNOW im dreaming, but im still dreaming. i want to wake up, so i just make myself so jump off a cliff or something, then i wake up. its weird, because i cant wake up myself unless i kill myself, even though i KNOW im dreaming. it usually happens not long before i wake up, because once it happens, i slowly wake up out of my dream. oh and sometimes, i dream i've won a lot of money. then i wake up, and i feel pissed because i want to dream it again, and i try going back to sleep to 'catch' on to the dream. *never works*

Very rarely do I remember them. Oddly enough, I remembered one just last week, but it's been years since the last one I remember having.

Last night I dreamt that everyone in the world had turned into flesh-eating zombies and were all armed with lightsabers... WTF?!?!

I usually remember the dreams/nightmares when I'm sick. But typically I do remember them after I wake up, but as the hours go by I remember less and less.

What about something that happens in your dream and you wake up hearing exactly what was in your dream in real life?

For example in your dream a storm is coming. You hear thunder and suddenly you wake up and you still hear the rumbling going on...it's really happening!

If you spend a lot of hours at sea below deck you learn to awaken quickly when this happens or you'll be sorry later! :Q

This is why I cannot leave a TV or radio on when I sleep. The slightest noise that resembles any alarms that I'm accustomed to hearing will awaken me immediately--a perfect night's sleep is suddenly ruined. The last time I had a good night's sleep was in January. :disgust:

Cheers!

1. You remember your dreams better if you wake up in the middle of the dream.
2. Traditional science says that you dream during R.E.M. (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. Although I seem to recall more recent evidence disputing this.
3. Most people tend to sleep deeply in the middle of the sleep cycle (e.g. middle of the night), and lightly at the end of the sleep cycle (e.g. early early morning to wake-up time).
4. R.E.M. sleep typically occurs when you sleep lightly (i.e. at the end of the sleep cycle).
5. Therefore, if you really really want to remember what you dream about, try setting your alarm clock earlier, and at random times in the early morning. Plus, immediately upon waking, you must consciously try to remember what you dreamt about, and wake up enough to commit it to conscious memory.

So, Inguyen, you probably were a lighter sleeper when you were a kid. Now that you're an adult, and have a zillion worries and probably don't get enough sleep just like everybody else, you tend to sleep more deeply. I would guess that's why you remember having more dreams as a kid. I would bet that you probably have the same number of dreams now, as an adult, you just don't remember them.

There are people who are lucid dreamers. Supposedly, they realize they are dreaming and have varying degress of control in the dreamworld. they can actually control what happens in their dreams.

Couple days ago I had a powerful and sad dream.

I woke up and wrote a short 4 page story on it.

Always.

I often have trouble knowing if the dreams were dreams or reality. My dreams are as realistic as my reality.

I also have lucid dreams at least once a week.

you only remember them if you're woken up during them. that generally means you remember nightmares more often than good dreams.

All my nightmares seem to involve food in some way or another. but not in the way you're all thinking right now.
