Anyone remember the Boss key?

Do the zelda games still have'em? So many great memories of hunting for that thing back in the good ol' days 🙂

I just remember the Apple IIes that had a boss key that would switch to some working spreadsheet program.

It was hilarious.

many games have a similar system of 'boss key' although they're just a little different... like you've gotta turn on the power so a door will open, or you've gotta get a certain color keycard or whatever. It's still used, but not exactly like it was back in the day.

unless you're talking about the boss key so you can play games at work, in which case you should just work instead, it's safer .

i was playing a flash game the other day, can't remember the site i found it on, but when u hit the boss key, it screamed out "you boss is a c**t" that was funny.

I remember when I bought Diana Gruber's Action Arcade Adventure Set book. I was reading it and found a small section on making a boss key for your games (it's a book on programming side scroller games in C++). The ebook is available for free at the bottom of the linked page, btw.

LOL - I remember Moria had a boss key. I think it was F9 (this was back when function keys where on the left side of the keyboard so it was really easy to find).
