Anyone remember that site that used Google Maps API

very close to what I was asking for (it works for what I needed) but the one I used before actually placed the "pushpins" with the info on the map..

I'm not sure what site the OP is looking for, but this one called the GMaps Pedometer is awesome for people mapping out routes for running and biking and such.
