Good times.

I liked the one where they got trapped in the back of a truck and had to make a pinhole camera to look outside to see where they were.

I think that was this show :Q

What was that show, with the mysterious typewriter with eyeballs that would come out of the top of a table, and there were these kids, and something about an evil guy named "Duneeden", or something.. I really only have a vague recollection, but I thought it was a cool show at the time. Some sort of mystery show, involving kids, and books, and things.. I think. Anyone have a clue?

parts of that seem to suggest ghostwriter... but I don't remember a typewriter with eyeballs from any show

I barely remember that, but I do remember Today's Special. I don't think it was on PBS, though...

The great space coaster, come on board -- the great space coaster... well take a ride....

Or some thing like that.

Maybe the typewriter didn't have eyeballs, there was another machine next to it too, but it was sentient, and could type on its own, and would type things, and these kids would use it to go on some mystery or something. There was also something about another planet or a transdimentional portal or something. It was kind of whacked-out. I don't know if it was actually on PBS, or some other kid-oriented cable network. It had to have been 20+ years ago though.

Part of the theme jingle went... "read all about it"... something something..

The text overlayed on the screen was done in a sort of mystery/ghost-like way, as it faded in, I think.
