My pulse began to quicken. I looked down at the rope only to discover to my horror that the rope was disappearing down into the darkness. SOMETHING WAS PULLING THE ROPE BACK INTO THE CAVE!!!
Ooookay!... smoking pot wasn't a good idea, dude.
I actually laughed while reading through it.
Jesus!... there are only few sounds that would cause this:
1. Mother nature sound (water, wind, grinding, and etc...)
2. Human/Animal sound (scream, breathing and etc...)
3. Mechanical sound
The rest is in YOUR head!
Um, I think we've already established that this is a work of fiction. Look at it from that perspective and just enjoy a good story.
