Anyone remember Roy Rogers' hamburger places?

When my family lived in Maryland, we used to go to Roy Rogers' all the time. I miss that place, they had the best burgers ever. Is that franchise still operating?

There is one in Thurmont, Maryland they closed the one where I live.

I like Roy's but there aren't very many left. I can only think of one at the moment, and it's on the PA Turnpike. I like the way you can fix your burgers the way you want.

One or two franchise owners refused to sell. I know of about 3 that are still around - one in Westminster, MD, one in Thurmont, MD, and one that I can't think of the location to.

Yes, I do remember Roy Rogers. They had them on Long Island, as well as NJ, and Pennsylvania.

I always thought they were pretty crappy though. I am not nostalgic for Roy Rogers.

Oh Roy. They always said he had Trigger, his horse stuffed. I have been to the Westminister and Thurmont shops. I would mainly go to the one by the Super Giant Food on rt 40 in Ellicott City--about 1975. R

Gino's > Roy Rogers.

I remember the square bun "hero burgers". That was probably 1976 or so. Gino's sold out to RR back in 1981 or so then most RR's became Hardee's or closed up.

I do know of the one in Westminster, 91 and 140 I believe.
