discontinued a subscription to Motor Trend that had lasted a couple of years. they review the same stuff over and over and over. i got tired of joe blows modified camaro, viper, or mustang. never covered the prelude and many other cars, but geeze every new modified record setter was on the cover. glad that you didn't list MT
my rant is over

I got 2 years of Car Craft for under $12 and a year of Hot Rod for $9.

I'm not much into C&D or any of the others you mentioned. Sorry...

well I subscibed to MT but it sucked... sucked real hard.
I didnt get half the subscriptions for the year.. so I am ending my subscription.

Its not worth it. Plus the paper quality is horrid as with teh print quality.

I will take Top Gear anyday. It might cost $100 or so to get it from teh UK, but its worth it.
for the rest of you itsBBC - Top Gear

What are you looking to see information on?

Here is an example so don't flame on ;)

But if your looking for Ford stuff, Get Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords.

If you looking to get the info on what a vehicle looks like and nothing mechanical about the thing besides a trip around a parking lot get JD Power

Actually it's pretty sad, if you don't go specialtiy mag they all pretty much reek, but just as you vote for a president, the LEAST Worst in the US is prolly MT

Don't get Car and Driver
I once read this article comapring the beatle and the civic, and they gave the civic extra points for "appearence". My jaw just about fell to the floor. Those guys are smoking crack if they give the generic plain vanilla butt appearence extra points over the beatle.

I think Road and Track is probably the best of the mainstream, general-interest car magazines. It is well-written, has a varied complement of articles, and the layout and art are excellent. Also, their new oversize format is nicer to hold and allows for nice photo spreads. I also receive C&D and Autoweek, but R&T is my favorite. Automobile is also very good in terms of trip journals and other automotive journalism, but rather lean in terms of actual information.

I'll second Road and Track. Automobile is good, but not as good. My favorites are probably Auto Week and Grassroots Motorsports.

Car and Driver basically covers new auto's (imports and domestics). very similar with Motor Trend. Super Street is generally aimed at import cars and performance modifications. It is more ricey, in the same lines as Import Tuner.

I few years ago I subscribed to Road & Track, but I recently subscribed to Car & Driver for no reason. Both of the magazines are good in my opinion. Actually, both magazines are printed by the same company.

Car and Driver if you like to read about general consumer level cars. Road and Track if you like to read about supercars. Motor Trend is the biggest kiss ass magazine I've ever seen.
