Finally took the time to install one, I'm really liking it. Managed to import my gmail contacts, am pretty happy with it so far. I used Kumar's HD2 premium.

yes, I flash frequently. I used kumars for awhile, its solid. I am using Energy at the moment, I really like the look of this rom, although it is killer on battery. Miri is decent too.

I haven't used the stock ROM on my HD2 since about a week after I bought it (I'm actually on my third HD2 now, but that's mostly accurate). I probably flash once or twice a week on average...usually Energy.

Just installed the 12.5 radio, curious to see if it improves battery life...

I'd be interested in knowing that too.

I'm currently using 10.5, which is a nice improvement over the stock 8.5 for me. I'm still using the stock 2.13.531.1 ROM.

Any specific reason you guys are going a specific custom? I haven't explored the ROMs much.

I just have cookie hometab, bsbtweaks, battclock and I'm pretty happy so far.

Custom ROMs have a lot of that kind of stuff built in, they're generally smoother/more stable/less crap preinstalled than the stock ROM. They're also built from newer versions of the WinMo build.

For me, the biggest reason to use a custom ROM is to get WinMo 6.5.5. I don't use Sense, and the stock applications in 6.5.x are a lot better than regular 6.5, plus there are some nice things like bigger soft keys, threaded email, etc.
