A neighbor of mine got a custom-built table imported from europe 2 years ago in a big wooden box. (about 5x5x10 feet) I offered to dispose of the box for her, so she gave it to me. I reassembled it in our living room, put a wheelbarrow full of bricks in it, and on top of all the bricks, a gift certificate for a free spa treatment. I wrapped it up, and left it by the tree (it was almost as tall as the tree; we had a hard time keeping the cats off it).

My mom had no idea what to expect, and was quite surprised when she opened it.

I am an awful brother

Pics of your sister?

When I was in the military, a colleague recieved a box from his coworkers. It was a cube, roughly 1 meter each side. 34 kilograms. It was made of some indestructible wood plates. He tried to open it but his coworkers had drilled away the bolt heads of all screws holding this thing together. His face was priceless. Just in case you still need some inspiration for next christmas ;)

One year my girlfriend (at the time) knew I bought her a stuffed teddy bear (shut up, she wanted it!), so to throw her off I put the teddy bear in a box and wrapped another present up to look like the teddy bear... I basically made the shape of a teddy bear out of the present + wadded up wrapping paper, then wrapped that.

She thought it was funny.

She's a big Aerosmith fan, so I got her tickets to Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz when they come to town. I'll also pick her up this robe she's been wanting.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go completely over the top to wrap this sucker. I'm going to go to a local store and see if they'll give me a refrigerator box they are throwing out. Then I'm going to wrap her presents in regular boxes, and place them smack in the middle of said refigerator box surrounded by tons of wadded up paper. For good measure I'll throw in a few 5 pound weights, and some marbles in a box. Then I'll wrap the entire thing up. Bwahahahahahahahaha!

So am I the only one that's doing something like this? Anyone got any more good ideas for messing with present sleuths head's?

You could also really surprise her by getting her nothing for christmas :D
