anyone purchased from CDW.com before?

I am thinking about buying a laptop through CDW.com and they are the only one thats carrying that laptop right now. I checked the resellerrating for CDW and it doesn't look too good (about 2.8 out of 10), so i was wondering if anyone here had previous experience with this place and should you suggest that i order my laptop from them...

CDW is great. They have great customer service and pretty quick shipping. Prices are on the high side, but they always have what I need in stock.

2.22 rating in the past 6 months is horrible. I wouldn't buy there. Dartworth, did you buy something recently from them?

Um. Almost daily. My only complaint is that they are bit pricey. But it's worth it to be able to purchase on a net 30 account, have my own dedicated account rep, a very good license tracking portal, and next day delivery for the price of standard ground. I order by 12:00PM on Monday and assuming it's in stock it's at my door the next morning.

I've very happy with them. But like I said, they aren't price competitive at all with somebody like new egg on things that they both happen to carry.

never bought from them but i believe they are good - big company, they used to be retail too (are they still?) very reputable.

where i work, they used to buy from CDW all the time, i think my boss told me once it's because they have a store (or storage?) nearby in illinois so they always sent the items pretty quick with the standard shipping. but right now i do almost all the ordering so i kind of convert them to Newegg.

Huge etailer. We buy from them daily. I belive they are larger than newegg or zipzoomfly. They are more of a business oriented company though.

I used to work for a company about 7 years ago that purchased quite a bit of merchandise from them. Also about 2 years ago I picked up a 17" monitor from their downtown Chicago store for a pretty good price, I've bought other items from them as well and I never had any problems even with exchanges or refunds. I can't comment on their mail/online orders though, I usually just head down to their store whenever I need anything.

look at this:
resellerrating

this is not the only place that gave them junky ratings, others rating sites also have bad ratings on CDW.

I am trying to buy that acer aspire as2012wlmi laptop... its priced at $1299 there.

i've notice that many of you purcahsed from CDW for a company. Have anyone bought anything for themselves through the company?

As an end user, I can typically find an item I am looking for somewhere else for quite a bit less at other online vendors. CDW is a very commercial oriented business. They cater to business purchases first and foremost.

I think they are the only company that carrying the product i want now.

CDW is a well know e-retailer. They're been selling computer hardware/software much longer than newegg and zipzoomfly...but they are high dollar.

For my company, I use nothing but CDW for parts and software. Only Dell for PCs and Servers.

You can't beat the fact that if you need something and you don't have the time to do research on it...you can call your rep up and he/she can recommend you the right direction. This is especially helpful when dealing withthe confusing license pricing from people like Microsoft an Checkpoint.

If you're buying stuff for your personal use, get it from newegg or zipzoomfly for lower pricing. But if you're dealing with corporate purchases, be smart and use people like CDW. They are high dollar because they deliver in the service department. Newegg can't hold a candle to CDW. That's like asking if you should buy your gas from Texaco or from some guy selling it in his backyard 😛 😉
