Anyone playing Yahoo! Fantasy baseball

I really just dont understand. Every year this happens. In all my years of baseball i have never heard of a 54 (Yes no decimal) ERA. Its screwing my team up. And, to my knowledge there has been no team that has had 54 runs scored off of 1 pitcher. Am i missing something.

Yes my Team's Avg ERA reflects it.

<~~ Not a baseball fan but played junior varsity baseball in my high school freshman year, that was six years ago. Skipped varsity baseball in sophomore to play varsity golf instead.

well if a picher gives up 6 runs in an inning and then gets taken out his average earned runs per game would be 6x9=54. If he piches more innings without giving up as many runs it will go down.

yeah era is easy to figure out
earned runs x9 divided by innings pitched.

e.g. Clemens pitches 7 innings and gives up 2 earned runs:

2x9 = 18/7 = 2.57 ERA

Sounds like my team. Last night my public league had Hoffman and Vazquez pitching. That didn't turn out so well. 🙁

I have Smoltz pitching right now. Rather, I HAD Smoltz pitching. 7 earned in 1.2 innings. Hope Maddux does better tonight.
