Anyone playing ICO for PS2? Need help!

I'm at the windmill.. all the walkthroughs I've looked at (all for the demo) say to jump and grab the windmill blade, but it doesn't seem to be working in this case. I've stood on the steps and tried to grab, and climbed all the way up the windmill and tried grabbing a blade as I jumped off and no luck. WTF.

I hate getting stuck in these games.
 
Look at the windmill wings.....it got a long stick behind at the end of each wings.Now u'll see some staircase and a door down the windmill.Stand at the top next to the door,jump and grab the stick.Wait until u reach the top of the tower of the windmill.U can also climb up to the middle windmill tower and grab one of the wing up there but it's much more difficult.Then travel from the top of the windmill across to the right side to open up the bridge.U have to leave the princess waiting down there!!Good luck....this game is really unexpected....it ROCKS!!
 
Friend shipped me Silent Hill 2 and ICO and I received it yesterday. I'm bumping for help since I haven't played it much.

Had to climb halfway up and leap to catch the windmill. Dunno why I couldn't do it from the bottom.

This game is fantastic. Part puzzle-solving, part "immersive platformer" a la Out of This World. 🙂
