Been playing it on my AMD system, crankedsettings at 1080p, and forced HBAO with RadeonPro... games fantastic, though it does drop to like 24FPS, but it's rare, and 99% the time it's 45-60FPS :)

I even think it's a great looking game considering...

I haven't played it in a few years, but I got it on steam in the THQ collection awhile back. It was pretty good from the 15-20 hours I put into it, not the kind of game I can keep playing though.

I have Chaos rising, and all 4 of the expansions for the DoW 40k original game. Fun games to play around in, but I just can't find myself being sucked into a game like that.

I've been spending my days on counter strike and rocket league to be honest.

I play CSGO as a break now...

I play CSGO just to get a bit of FPS gameplay in, I probably only play 30-45 minutes a day. 1 or 2 casual games and I'm good.

Very rarely do I actually go and play CSGO ranked MM for hours on end.

37 hours on the original DoW2. Downloading Chaos Rising right now. Got an itch.

320 hours for all 3 DoW 2 titles here.

I suggest playing DoW2 then carrying forward your characters to Chaos Rising... and playing The Last Stand a bit :)

IMO the greatest RTS of more recent times for an SP experience, except Retribution which was a steaming pile of excrement.

Bias comes from the fact that Relic have pedigree through the revolutionary Homeworld and very well handled CoH1 plus I am quite an avid fan of 40k lore, not 30/31k lore :)

I'm a fantasy fan really, can't wait for Total war: warhammer.

I have 4 or 5 fantasy armies but only ever play with my brother so they dont get much use.

I have 107 hours logged in the Role Playing Strategy titles known as DoW 2 & it's Exps. That compares with 1082 hours logged in DoW 1 & Exps.

I liked DoW II (vanilla), and also liked both Chaos Rising and Retribution. Generally, they were good games. But I did miss base building (as much as I tried to forget about it and, believe me, I really tried).

I still prefer the original, however; WH40K: Dawn of War, along with the expansions (Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm). I'm regularly playing offline skirmishes using the community's unofficial Soulstorm patch (should still be called "Bugfix Mod" but I haven't looked for it in some time), coupled with the Dawn of Skirmish A.I. mod (for which I was a tester for a time). The best campaign for me was the first in vanilla DoW with Gabriel Angelos (and it wouldn't be fair to not mention what I would consider his now iconic voice, thanks to Paul Dobson's great performance for the character, perfectly fitting for him). Although, I have to say that the DoW II's Chaos Rising campaign was quite enjoyable as well (and vanilla DoW II's wasn't bad at all).

i enjoyed the single player, but i preferred the typical RTS style of DOW vs DOW2 which was much more squad based. i like big armies :)

That's why I refer to DoW 2 as a Role Playing Strategy. A true RTS remake of DoW 1 or 2 would be awesome, especially in DX12 with massive scale armies and fleets.

I want DOW 3 to be a well thought out TBS campaign with RTT battles and such. That seems like the directions they were going towards from DOW 1 to DOW 2 but with the new owner being SEGA they is no hope anything is ever going to be any good anymore.
