Anyone played Metal Gear Solid 3 yet?

Was frustrating at first because of the way the camera works and you no longer have a radar that works as well as in part 1 and 2. But once you got over it, it's not too bad. It still can't beat the first metal gear on PSX though. But it's a lot better than MGS2.

Some of the boss battles last a long time. Took like 1-2 hours on some boss. Overall story was great too although I thought the hovercraft the soldiers fly on was way out of place, considering the storyline was set during the Cold War.

Took me 22 hours to beat it without really looking for secrets. Probably 10 hours were watching cut scenes though 🙁

I can't wait to get ahold of this game. You're right about the topping the PSX MGS, that game was just revolutionary. Sons of Liberty was good, but I think it may have been too watered down.

So are there any new weapons? Or disappointment at a lack of a certain weapon? Is the SOCOM back?

I don't plan on playing either game. MGS was sweet for PSX, but I never saw how a sequel could come out of that game.

I dont like it so far. I loved MGS2 but i'm not really liking this game that much. No radar sucks. Its really hard to see enemies...You need to constantly switch to first person mode to search for bad guys.

They did a pretty good job of it actually, though it does get kinda "WTF?" at the end.

Just rented teh damn thing - I ignored Sons of Liberty 'cause I heard it sucked, but damn, this game is HARD . . ..

Sons of Liberty was just out of control confusing/rediculous at certain points. I heard this one got a bit extreme towards the end as well...I guess they are just running out of good story plots. Metal Gear Solid for PS1 is still the sh!t. Amazing game.
