ANyone Played AceCombat on PS2? Any games like that for PC?

Are there any PC flight simlulator games like the AceCOmbat series from the PS2? MS Flight simulator doesnt cut it for me.
 
IL-2 Sturmovik is about the closest thing I can recommend. Review (Gamespot)
IL-2 The Forgotten Battles is due out pretty soon.Review (Gamespot)

In short they are both WWII combat flight sims, you are the Russians. Sturmovik is a linear playing game, so you lose a mission, nothing bad happens, unlike Falcon 3.0 was.

I don't know about more modern flight sim games, but IL-2 is very good.
 
thanx, ill d/led the demo and give it a try. Too bad is a WWII game, BF1942 has some pretty cool flight aspects.

IMO, IL-2 blows BF1942 out of the water in the flight sim part of it. IL-2 you can add realism to it all, red out, black out, limited ammo, and a few others that escape my mind.
