Can anyone give me some pointers or sites with good strat guides?

Played Urban Terror doe 1.5 years or so then beta 2.6 came and all went down the drain - noe 2.6A is out its better now (I can play again) but I lost interest.....

I used to play FPS online daily, now maybe twice a month

unfortunately I dont see an alternative to UrT - so maybe

Strat guides: never cared about that he is the strategy: know the map - really know the map including fast escape routes and wildass jumps, know your movement - bunnyhopping is IMPORTANT, surprise the enemy, oh most important have good headphones and anticipate through sounds - they are more important than your eyes (often). Oh and it is always good to not run with the pack, but rather find a way around the enemy and engage from behind

dunno what else I do - good aim and movement are most important though

I have been reading through those forums.

So much.

Jumping seems to be a big deal.

My dilemma is shooting. Mainly i use the lr300. But when I am dead on one on one with another guy i always lose. Always go head shots?

burst (not auto) from the feet up. i don't like the lr300 much at all. i prefer the G40 or the light sniper rifle--they seem to be a lot more accurate, at least for me.

Yeah, you need to account for the recoil, hope this helps :)

when you burst starting at the feet, the recoil should send you up to the head at the end of your burst. if you don't end up at the top of them, start your aim at their knees. where you start can depend on how close they are and whether or not they are moving. if they're standing still, try going straight for the head with a burst. most people are smart enough to keep moving, though. bots, on the other hand, aren't always so skillful.

Ok just got off a couple of rounds.

Have some more questions.

When using a med pack. Does it last the entire game? Or will it run out?

Also in order to use it, do I just bandage myself as usual? Or do I have to use a special key?

there should be a key mapping for med-pack. i wouldn't know.. the only two accessories i ever use are the vest (std. gear) or extra ammo (usually when sniping only). once the beta gets past the "you can only have one accessory" stage, i'll do more experimenting in this arena. :)

ummm the medpack works until u drop it to give it to another guy to heal u.
The medpack is of no direct benefit to YOU. it is to heal your mates. normal healing -> back to 40% with medpack ->80% (healing mates that is, u cannot heal yourself just stop bleeding) u use the same key as to stop your own bleeding just go close to a mate looking at him and "bandage"

btw there is a manual on the UT site
