Anyone play the sonic games on the 360?

I heard they really suck...i'm curious if this is true?

I used to play them on the sega when I was younger...kicked ass back then.

They're not great. Sonic Unleashed is probably the best of the bunch (basing this off the demos I've played). It has levels that are more of classic Sonic but there are Werehog levels that are used to extend the gameplay out that people don't enjoy that much.

Yep. The Sonic levels at times are really great and they blow by so fast because of the speed but those Werehog levels are long (can be up to 30 minutes long!!!), slow and boring. Big mistake there by Sega (whats new with them). The final world of the game (Eggmanland) is one of the worst levels EVER with a god awful last boss. I'm sure Sega will make another Sonic game and when they do I hope they pattern it after the Sonic levels. No Werehog, no little town hubs, no stupid friends...just Sonic.

By the way, if you just want to replay all the classic Genesis Sonic games on the 360 there is the "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection" game coming out next week. It has Sonic 1, 2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3D Blast in it.

AVOID the original 360 Sonic game and forget Sonic Unleashed unless you can get it for ultra cheap (as in less than 20 bucks).

Some of them are, but at $5 a pop, I'd wait for the collection next week.
