Anyone play the Axis & Allies Miniatures game?

The only crappy thing is ....... the booster packs have random units in them......... and each set so far has 45 & 42 different units in them. Kind of sucks........... because if you want to get everything......... you have to buy a lot of booster packs.

I used to play the Axis and Allies board game when I was in High School. But haven't played it in over 10 years and never played with the miniatures.

Played the PC game, but games like that irritate me when its left up to the chance of the dice, and foot soldiers defeat battleships.

Was still sorta fun though.

I less than 3 Axis and Allies...

That being said...
I utterly detest games which you have to buy endless booster packs to just have a random chance at ever getting a complete set. You always get the same 7 commons, plus 2 rares.

All miniatures and trading card games must die.

I know........ it kind of put me off about "collecting" the playing peices. Looks fun though........ kind of like Squad Leader.

Cheers,

I'm still playing the good old original version of Axis & Allies. I'm considering getting the updated realism rules for it, though.

see with cards, at least you can print fake cards so that you can play with all the cards with your friends....

this is going to be hard to reproduce
