Anyone play Mosby's Confederacy yet?

Its 20 USD, available from Steam, Impulse, GamersGate, and Greenhouse. I enjoyed Tilted Mill's last independent game, Hinterland, though it was a little 'light', the price was good for what it offers.

I do hope they are making money on these short independent titles, they have the right idea. Developers selling their products directly to the consumer, almost.

Not my cup of tea, but seems like it will be fun for the War Between The States buffs. Should coincide nicely with the spike in people stating the the south should be kicked out of the union over in P&N as of late:evil:

Standing in a line spending 15 seconds at a time reloading. Sounds fun!

Now, Civil War Surgeon, that would be a fun game. Restraining patients while you amputated limbs, administering whiskey as anesthesia, hot damn!

well battle grounds source (american revolution mod) did front loading muskets so i don't see why civil war can't. plus it doesn't have to be super realistic and take forever to reload.

i have been burnt by many crappy civil war games that i bought just because i am into civil war. i won't be making that mistake again until i see it's a quality game or a free mod.

their last two titles look interesting. I d/l the nile demo from steam but it seemed to run a bit crappy compared to the earlier ceasar titles. Maybe I'll have to give it another try before looking into these newer ones.

The Children of the Nile one is an older game that I think they rereleased for Steam or something.

I still haven't played Hinterland, though I downloaded it awhile ago. Been too caught up in Fallout 3, I guess. The Mosby game looked cool too, so once I finish with Hinterland I'll probably try that as well.

Bump.

So the game is based off real historical characters? I never did any research beyond the game's main product page.

Down here in Virginia you see signs mentioning Mosby everywhere (the "Mosby Highway" and so on).

In most games you get the coolest weapons, and aren't stuck with the mundane ones. There was the Sharps rifle, lever action rifles, revolvers, and the Gatling gun.

And not everyone was front line infantry all the time. They had cavalry, scouts, Sharp shooters, messengers, etc.
