Yes.

I also play the "real" version.

In my experience, the best way to play is in the leagues. The 8 person tournaments and the larger ones are very, very tough as there are many high level players you have to compete against. Once you build up enough cards, you can then play casual games for free.

MTGO is a good addiction since I played the old one a long time ago with Revised. With revised, I won a few tournaments in Costa Mesa and tied for a spot in San Deigo. After that, I sold off that nasty deck. Now with MTGO, I can make some really nasty decks (not quite the same I had before), and play against a lot more people.

the reason i enjoy mtgo is because where im from, i know nobody who still plays mtg. there are a few, but theyre all nerds who i dont associate with :x anyways, mtgo is the shiznit. i used to play this game back in the 7th grade. im now 20 years old. this is kick-ass.

can anyone tell me which are the best pre-contructed decks are to buy? i bought the 7th edition: armada, and three 7th edition booster packs.

let me know, thanks!

I started with Revised. Stopped around when Stronghold was out I guess. Got a few thousand cards, hehe.

I haven't played the online version. Paying for virtual cards just doesn't appeal to me. Apprentice is a cool free program I've used to play online before, but the website appears to be down.

The cost per pack is the worst part about the game. I can get the packs for $2 each (when i buy a box) or $2.50 each (tax included) locally. My local shop charges $10 for a draft where as the online version is over $13 plus tax.
