anyone play Mafia Wars on Facebook?

I've had a couple of friends ask me to be in their little Mafia War group. I just get the heebie-jeebies whenever I see that.
 
level 140, let me give you a tip... it's easier to recruit people on the facebook 'add me' mega discussion thread...

i got my 500th mob in 2 weeks, you can do it faster if you post on those threads constantly, like once every hour. optimal players to get is 1000 so you can get 500 limited edition loot. if you're hardcore, get 3000 mobs so you can have 500 limited loot per type of weapon, armor, and vehicle.

bonus tip, if you use firefox, load grease monkey, and then load 'autoplayer' , it plays for you when you're not.

mob wars ftw, rest are just copycats...now they have 'mafioso wars'...this is getting ridiculous. Yeah, your best bet to mob up is the 'add me' forums.

Yup. However you can de-friend people after they get into your mafia.

well, if you de-friend them, you won't be able to do the 'call for backup' feature for more exp.
i actually set up a facebook group called 'mafia' with very limited access to my profile so all is good.
 
Does anybody do anything with their money? I have built 100 of everything, except for Mafia Mikes which I have like 200 of. I make something like $90 million/hour and I just bank it. After expenses, which really go down as you collect more special items, it seems like money is basically worthless.
 
the new cuba mafia beta is interesting. it's funny that there's a bug in there that allows you to buy cuba items using us dollars..... so you can convert your us dollars this way and buy up everything you need in cuba.

No. I'm a purist. No added apps. Stop asking me to throw sheep, play games, take quizzes, or otherwise do other stuff on the internet than nef on atot.

I've blocked that application and all the rest of them that result in requests to "send me a cow for farm town" "Send me a daisy for my garden" and "join my mob"
