half the fun of those games is killing each other :)

FFXI is PVE only, and will have PVP non-PK style january, lol.

How can you have non-pk PVP?

haha maybe people like to play cooperatively instead of PKing other people...

Buncha Hippies.
PK'ing adds quite a bit of replay value.

I was thinking about trying it out since it is only $20 to buy in the store..

Is it worth it?

Nope. I used to play, but it sucks, still sucks, and always will sucks. It's an okay MMORPG, but to compete you have to buy BOTH expansions at $25 each, and they've changed gameplay mechanics several times, so expect it to be changed repeatedly.

they change game mechanics because when things are put into REAL testing (ie live gameplay) and they find out that one shadowblade or berzerker can kill an entire group by himself, that changes need to be made.

I think its called Ragnarok. Also there is Planeshift, which is a free MMORPG but is still in beta. You can't fight or basically do anything but run around in it but it looks great. www.planeshift.it Check it out and then forget about it for about 6 months till you can actually play it.

I used to play DAOC and have been thinking about starting up again. I'm not a fan of the SWG as I don't like sci fi. Also I read a bunch of really bad review of Horizons so I'm more than hesitant to buy that. Let me know what you guys think! Has anyone played thru the Trials of Atlantis for DAOC?
