Anyone play board games here?

Need some recommendations.. Have the usual risk, chess, trivial pursuit, othello etc.. but want to statergise more.. something like axis and allies but maybe more fantasy based? My son is only 10 so nothing insanely hard but still engrosing...Nothing to geeky because my wife and those types of games mix about as well as gasloline and a blow torch...see it's difficult for me.. perhaps I'll just get a movie.

Settlers Of Catan is a slam dunk.
