Anyone planning on getting the Terastation?

Well 1,000 is about a $1 a gig which is very good and anything from Buffalo Tech is very good hardware. I haven't heard anything bad about them at all. I'm actually on the hunt for one of their link stations (200gb should be plenty for my needs) but that terastation looks VERY nice and at a very nice price also. I'd say go for it.

This looks like a neat product, but the information on the Buffalo website is somewhat incomplete. I am looking for a review on one of the credible tech sites. Maybe Anandtech will review this gizmo soon.

Some things I would like to know:
- what brand/type of Hard Disks are used inside
- can you replace (hot-swap) a hard disk while the unit is operational
- what is the performance in RAID-5 mode
- how long does it take to rebuild the database after one of the disks have been replaced
- what is the average temperature of the drives inside this unit under sustained operation
- how much power does it burn while it is running
- what is the maximum/sustained transfer rate that can be achieved on the 1000Base-T port
