I picked mine up yesterday from Toys R Us. Bought the Glacier color system, F Zero, Castlevania, and Zelda Orcale of Seasons......all games kick serious ass. Went to Wal Mart and picked up a light that is a cover for the screen when its closed and a battery pack AC adepter thing with 2 rechargable battery packs (all glacier color too ). Im very happy with it!

how is Tony Hawk 2??! I heard it was BADD@$$$. My cousin was able to pick one up at KBToys in a mall. Paid the $99 price, though. Not bad I guess....

It's pretty 'badass' The unorthodox view isn't a pain once you get used to it. I can still rack out those 200k+ tricks

I got mine today. A couple of my friends decided to we were going to hit the stores early to get ahead in line. So we arive at Wal-Mart at 5:00am and the store opens at 7:00am. One of the main reasons we picked wal-mart was because they opened early and they said they would have "extras" for those first come, first serve thing... The doors open 7 and we make over away to the electronics section and waited at the counter. Then some Wal-Mart employee said the the GBA's could only be sold to those that preordered. People demanded to see the manager and wanted wal-mart to find gba's at other stores. I was standing siently in the crowd and realized that we would not get anywhere by fighting with the manager. They were not selling.... So my friends and I left the displeased and hauled our @$$s to Target. We got there and only five people were ahead of us. Then the manager of targer said the people who preordered would get theirs first. He did not know how many would be left over. At about 7:50am the manager came out and said that they had 30 extra GBA!!!!!!!!! 30!!!!! woOt! He handed the each of us a ticket with a number on it, so we could claim our GBA's at the Service Desk. I'm happy. I have the color i want and i HAVE a GBA.

I picked one up today at my local Fry's. Went by there around 10:30AM and they had teh white/greyish model. They had a package deal going on today where they included a Gameboy Advanced, 2 Gameboy color games and a carrying case for $89. I picked that and a ac/dc adaptor package which was free after rebate and two gba games (Mario Advanced and Tony Hawk Advanced). Both games are pretty cool. I wish they had Zelda cause I would have picked that up as well. Does anyone know where they might have Zelda on sale and how much?

Can somebody explain to me what's so special about a GBA? Is it a Super Nintendo shrunk down to handheld form?

pidge, the Zelda Orcale of Seasons/Ages games? Target and Toys R Us had both of them for $30 each. I have Seasons and i love it, ive spent alot of time on it alraedy.

vi_edit, yes, its basically a SNES in portable form.

Actually it seems more like the processing power of a Genesis plus the graphical prowess of a SNES, multiplied by 2.

It would be nice to have an option of backlighting though, would be superior to the add-on lighting.

Anyone know what colors there will be in total, eventually? I know there are 3 right now (US), and the milky pink/fuschia in July, anything else?

other handheld systems have made their screen blacklit (gamegear) and the battery life was cut short. Oh well I just sit in well lit area or have a Worm Light..
