Anyone paint/do art?

After 10 years of not touching a brush I am getting back into it. Anyone else paint or do any sort of art? Maybe I will post my latest painting if you promise not to laugh.

I promise not to laugh and I would be interested in seeing your work. I have absolutely no talent at all when it comes to drawing/painting/art, but enjoy seeing what others have created.

I find painting to be one of the more difficult aspects of art. There are so many little details you must pay attention to, such as if you have properly mixed your colors or if you've added enough water ? ...etc etc.... Plus you have to pay attention to your brushstrokes, do you have enough paint on it, are you properly applying the stoke? Things like that.

I agree, but it is so relaxing to just fill a canvas, blend colors. get the "right" stroke of the brush. I am no great artist, but I think I got a lot better when I stopped worrying about how the paiting looked and started just enjoying the actual exercise of painting.
