Two things I can think of...

1) It'll mangle your mouse pad, so don't pair it with an expensive one. No matter how much you use the "light touch" to move your mouse, there's going to be times where you dig in, and you'll use a lot more force than with a regular mouse.

2) Ergonomically it's not necessarily "better" than a mouse, it's just different on the other end of the scale. Ergonomically I'm pretty sure 45° is optimal.

Yeah, but don't you just want to try it. All the reviews I found were actually good.

UPDATE- I just ordered one from Newegg. They were $10 off (sale ended the 27th). Just have to try it.

Well, I tried it. It surprisingly did not feel odd. Most likely because you still use the same fingers for fire and alt fire. Although it didn't feel odd, it took a bit of getting used to. I surprisingly kicked butt in a few games of BF2142. In that game I'm a sniping fool. Although I did okay with it, it was a bit more difficult to line up your sight with the target. Definitely more suitable for infantry fighting. I also lowered the resolution big-time for sniping. I was a little disappointed to find it is powered with an optical sensor rather than a laser.

Overall, I was impressed with this product. For some people, this may be just what the doctor ordered. Relatively easy to use and get used to. Not very good for precise aiming. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult to teach an old dog new tricks. I'm sticking with my Logitech G9.
