Anyone own or have experience with a Jeep Liberty?

My wife has one. Steering is a little numb and the automatic is a hard shifter. But good vehicle. Can't say about 4 wheel drive as she won't let me take it any where. Did good for her this winter though.

i was in a rental for a few days. not a big fan...it drove alright but wasn't very responsive. fairly ordinary. but i come from a sporty car.

It's not a bad vehicle but there a quite a bit of animosity towards it because it replaced the Cherokee.

The gas mileage is piss-poor.

Bad gas mileage, but one of Chrysler's most reliable vehicles. Consumer Reports actually gives it a recommendation.

I drove one on a long trip to Canada. It was ok.
The steering is soft, so is the ride, but that's an suv for ya.
Gas mileage was awful in 4wd and not much better in 2wd.

Back seats have a good amount of room.
