Considering this as well as a few others in the compact SUV class for my next vehicle.

My mother in law drives one. She is very happy with it. She is coming from a grand Cherokee.

All I have...

My wife has one, she absolutely loves it.

I drive a Jeep Cherokee Sport 4X4.

My wife has one. Steering is a little numb and the automatic is a hard shifter. But good vehicle. Can't say about 4 wheel drive as she won't let me take it any where. Did good for her this winter though.

We bought one in October for my wife. It is my favorite vehicle of all the ones I've owned.

It's not a bad vehicle but there a quite a bit of animosity towards it because it replaced the Cherokee.

The gas mileage is piss-poor.

Bad gas mileage, but one of Chrysler's most reliable vehicles. Consumer Reports actually gives it a recommendation.

A few of my friends have the Liberty. Avid outdoorsmen, they haul their kayaks on it to the surf.

I drove one on a long trip to Canada. It was ok.
The steering is soft, so is the ride, but that's an suv for ya.
Gas mileage was awful in 4wd and not much better in 2wd.

Back seats have a good amount of room.
