Forgot I started this thread, ha. Damn, that's what I was worried about too. I'm kind of a neat freak and smelly + dirty are not too words that I like to hear. My fiance does have pet insurance free from work though. Hmmm...

So no one knows of mini's?

I have a friend that breeds them. Why would you want one? They make the most disgusting noises.. even when they are just chilling.

"Miniature english" is nothing more than a breeder who takes runt after runt to bread the dog into something smaller. Usually without concern to health problems that are created.

If you want a dog like an english bulldog and can deal with a little more excitement then go for an Olde English Bulldog. They aren't recognized by the AKC but neither is the American Bulldog which as been around for a 100 years....

I have two mutts. One American Bulldog mixed with Boston Terrier and one American Bulldog mixed with English Bulldog.

The problem is that American Bulldogs are working dogs. They are not going to be happy sitting around all day like an english would.

If you are willing to run your AB or exercise then go for it.

I want one, but since my gf and I are talking about moving in together, she wants to get a dog with less health risks.

Apparently, the bulldog is likely to have have health issues.
