Anyone own a Visoneer 6100USB scanner and get it to work with W2K pro?

i keep getting all kinds of errors and lock ups. it starts out working, then asks you to choose which app will use the scanner ie: Imaging or Photoshop, then blahhh! it craps out and locks up. Any pointers for me?
