just plug iPod shuffle directly into a USB port on any computer. Then drag and drop individual songs

At least the sony lets you play MP3s now and not just ATRAC That said I ended up with an iRiver.

I have one... its not bad... sound is great. Although, you do have to use their software to upload. Which sucks, but honestly for under 100 its pretty good.

Yeah, drag and drop if you have iTunes. There are third party software that you can use to drag and drop, but it won't work thru Windows Explorer.

sony has horrible software for their players, they use openmg, if I am not correct, it will convert your songs from mp3 or wma to atrac files to the player, unless they changed it. I have two minidisc players that do about the same that I would like to get rid off.
