I've been trying to answer this question on google, but no luck so far...
is there anything unique to the PS2 hard drive? does the sony-brand PS2 hdd have any kind of rails or backplate or something that would make it necessary to buy?
rather than paying $80-$100 for a 40GB drive with FFXI on it, I was thinking of trying to use a 120 GB drive (using 3rd party software to format it for use in the PS2). I have no desire to play FFXI (again), and it seems like such a waste to spend $80 on a 40 GB drive when I could bum a drive that's 3 times the size off of a friend.
