Anyone own a Nokia 6610?

Spoooon

How long does it need to charge before it can be used? It's been charging for over 3 hours now. The phone indicates a full charge, but I can't do anything else with it. If it's unplugged, the screen goes dark and it doesn't seem to turn on when I try the power button.

I read somewhere, and I can't seem to find it, that it may take up to 12 hours to charge for the first time. It may have been in the .pdf on Nokia's website, but I've read through the parts discussing the battery and I can't find that info anywhere.

So, anyone remember what they did when they first got the phone?

edit: I pm'ed the fellow who started a thread a while back about it.

Your phones going to "splode" because you unplugged it before letting it charge fully. Place it in a zip lock bag and dump it in your fish tank before high tailing it out of there. Go! NOW!

BTW I dunno but you usually have to let the phone charge for at least 12 hours or so. That's what I do at least. 🙂

I have a 6610. Can't you just turn it on? The power-on button is quite a b!tch. You have to press it for a couple seconds.

I tried. I used my fingernail and held it for 5 seconds and nothing happened.

I'm just wondering because my last phone started working a few minutes after I plugged it into the charger. I guess I'll start to worry about it if it isn't working tomorrow.
