Anyone own a Latitude D620?

I've tried looking all over Dell's website and Intel's 950GMA spec sheet and nothing mentions whether or not the 945GM chipset supports dual-display. I need to be able to support extended desktop--can the D620 with 950GMA graphics support that?

It should support it no problem. I have a GMA950 in this dv1000t I'm reviewing and it looks to have the same options the GMA900 has. I'm about 98% sure, but I've not used a GMA-GPU for screen spanning; if anyone else can chime in 100% sure on that

I saw a 945gm machine with span mode doing a presentation, but it wasn't a dell. I imagine the D620 should as well, I should have a permanant loaner by the end of the week to test it on. I only had a pre-production unit for a weekend last month and I didn't get to play around with it too much.

Edit: If you wait 4 weeks, you'll have the option for a 512MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M TurboCache or a 256MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M TurboCache. Both of which support nView.

We just got one in at work, haven't used it much, but i has both VGA and DVI ports on the back. Dual monitor support is pretty much a standard for laptops now.

BTW the D620 is the first Dell laptop to impress me - it actually feels solid.

ND40oz--I need the laptops sooner than that, unfortunately. I spoke with our sales rep today and he told me the same thing, but he was under the impression that only with a docking station could the D620 support screen spanning. I thought that seemed strange, but since there's so little literature surrounding the D620 I just assumed he was correct. I was messing around with a pre-production model in March but it never occurred to me to ask the question; now I feel like a complete idiot. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback so far. If someone can give me a 100% confirmation on it, that would be dandy. I need to order a laptop for use with SimMan and SimBaby ASAP and I need to know if the hardware of the D620 is up to the task.

Shrump: You sure it's a D620 you've got? I'm checkin the official pics at Dell Small Business and the back looks to have one VGA port and one Serial Port.

How's the battery life on the D620?

Just got a response from one of my reps. The D620 does suport spanning without a docking station when equipped with the intel graphics.

Edit: I just got the spec sheets for the 620 and 820, no mention of a DVI connector for either. There is one on the docking station though.

I didn't have the laptop long enough to test the battery, i just like the over all feel of it.
